I went crazy in annotating my physical copy because I do not want to forget how these sentences made me feel. Some one liners may punch you in the gut, and there are a lot of powerful phrases on the book. This brilliant writing is one the reasons why I believe this book is a masterpiece. As the story unfolds, I got literal goosebumps realizing that all along, the clues were there but I was either too blind to see it or I lack focus on the first part of the book.
One tip I want to give you is to pay attention to all the details from page one. This book is told in the present perspectives of Salahudin and Noor, and the perspective of Misbah, Sal’s mother from the past. She writes well-crafted characters that they can almost materializes into reality. You should read it too.)
